Welcoming/Preparing to Meet with God | “In My Life, Lord, Be Glorified” | Pastor Bill Johnson |
Eternal Reformer of our hearts and lives, incarnate in Jesus Christ and indwelling in our bodies by your Holy Spirit, may we be renewed by your Word and Spirit. Grant us the fire to purify our own idols and ideologies. May the Reformed vision of all society ordered by wise laws to serve your glory be reflected in all we do in your holy name. May the reading of Scripture still be for us a fountain of hope and courage. Forgive us and have mercy upon us when Scripture becomes a secondary thought and takes little of our time. Thank you for your love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness that brings us new life in Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen |

Prelude | “Thou Art Worthy” | Congregation & Choir |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |

Pastoral Greeting | “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God” | Pastor Bill Johnson |
We trust in God the Holy Spirit, everywhere the giver and renewer of life. The Spirit justifies us by grace through faith, sets us free to accept ourselves and to love God and neighbor, and binds us together with all believers in the one body of Christ, the Church. In a broken and fearful world the Spirit gives us courage to pray without ceasing, to witness among all peoples to Christ as Lord and Savior, and to work with others for justice, freedom and peace. |
