Gracious and forgiving God, there are times we face things we do not understand completely; forgive us hesitations in following where you lead as we give you all the honor and glory now and forever. Grant us new visions to see and imagine the church that lies ahead; help us not to say “we have never done it that way before,” or “we have always done it this way.” Prepare in us great excitement as we move into your new future for us and forgive us when we are shortsighted trusting only partially in you and your ways. Thank you for your loving mercy and forgiveness we have in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior as we pray this in his name and for the sake of this world. Amen. |
