Gracious God, we give thanks for your steadfast love and eternal presence. We are in awe of the many blessings you give to us. We feel blessed in the sure knowledge of eternal life. But, Lord, the world is so hard. We are laughed at, ignored, and judged. Sometimes we are fearful and forget that you are always with us. Forgive us our weakness, forgive our hearts that hide from the world. Help us, we pray, to stand firm in the light of your love. Give us strength and let us trust in you, for you are with us always. We pray in Christ’s name, Amen. |
