Welcoming/Preparing to Meet with God | “My Peace” (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
O God, we seek to serve you. Your blessings to us are many, and we are humbled; your grace and mercy bring us great joy, your love brings us comfort. Still, we often hold back from being your people. We keep to ourselves and are afraid to give of our time, cautious to share our hearts. Lead us, Lord, in your ways. Teach us, Creator, to be your Easter People every day, unafraid, in full relationship with one another. We ask in Jesus’ name, Amen. |
||
Life of the Church/Announcements | Special Music | Elder Bob Wulf |
Hear the good news! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know that you are forgiven, and be at peace. Amen. |
||
Passing of the Peace | “Love Divine, All Loves Excelling” | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | “Gloria Patri” | Praise Band |
God, source of all light, by your Word you give light to the soul. Pour out upon us the spirit of wisdom and understanding, that, through the Scriptures, our hearts and minds may be opened to know your will in our lives. Amen. |
