Welcoming/Preparing to Meet with God | “My Peace” (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
One: I will extol the Lord at all times; Many: His praise will always be on my lips. One: My soul will boast in the Lord; Many: Let the afflicted hear and rejoice. One: Glorify the Lord with me; ALL: let us exalt his name together! |

Life of the Church/Announcements | Special Music | Elder Nancy Spencer |
God of the heavens, God of the Earth, we experience your beauty and might through storm and calm, through trial and recovery. We are amazed by your power, and the resilience of creation! Yet often we are afraid and overwhelmed when we experience the unexpected, or witness the struggling of others. Help us, we pray, to understand the importance of community; to experience both the receiving and the giving of one human being to another, from and to all walks of life. Help us to embrace and demonstrate your amazing love. In Christ’s name. Amen. |
||
Passing of the Peace | “O Worship The King” | Congregation |
Hear the good news! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know that you are forgiven, and be at peace. Amen. |
||
Prelude | “Gloria Patri” | Praise Band |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
