Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
God, Creator of all, how blessed are our days! In our living, we experience joy and sorrow, comfort and pain, and in every time we feel the presence of your accepting love. We have been given the freedom to pray, to make choices, to wander without chains. We are given so much we accept it as our inheritance, and forget the suffering that brought us to this place. We forget that many still suffer, still have no freedom, are still tied to lives of servitude and fear. Forgive us, Lord, when we forget. Forgive our silent voices and lack of sight. We pray that you will open our eyes and release us from the darkness of those who harm, and heal our hearts that they may open and reach out to the burdened, the crippled, the stranger. Heal us, help us, and lead us, we ask in Jesus' name, Amen. |

Passing of the Peace | Great Is Thy Faithfulness | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |

Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
O God, light of the minds that know you, life of the souls that love you, strength of the thoughts that seek you, help us to know you so that we may truly love you and truly serve you, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. |
