Even as the Psalmist shouts out to your glory, O God, we are reminded that from the very beginning you have come to us in ways beyond our understanding. But, we trust you. You created us; you moved us beyond slavery and wandering into freedom; you have changed us from being shackled to rules and laws to freedom by your mercy and grace. You have shown us that you are a God of Love, not one of fright. And we praise and thank you for the gracious and loving life you have made available to us and to all your creation. Forgive us when we fall short of your glory; have mercy upon us when we crawl filled with fear and anger; create in us a new and loving heart as you have given us in Jesus. Thank you for your merciful forgiveness and the life of love we have with you because of Jesus, our Lord, through whom we pray. Amen.

There is no sin so terrible that God cannot forgive
There is no hurt so terrible that God cannot heal
In Jesus Christ, God has forgiven us and set us free!

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

O God, light of the minds that know you, life of the souls that love you, strength of the thoughts that seek you, help us to know you so that we may truly love you and truly serve you, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
