Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
We give thanks, O God, on this day which you have made. For the beauty of creation and our place in it, and for the blessings of those who share our journey through life. We are one family in you, and the joy of friendship can be found in unexpected places; smiles to be received, hands to be held, hearts to be mended. Yet we can pass by without seeing. We can be dismissive, or cruel. Forgive us our sins of blindness and uncaring. Mend us and teach us, open out hearts to the stranger so that as your people we might give and receive the unexpected gift of what it means to truly be the body of Christ. We ask in Jesus' name, Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Deacon Pauline Gregg |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |
||
Passing of the Peace | Holy, Holy, Holy | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Guide us, O God, by your Word and Spirit, that in your light we may see light, in your truth find freedom, and in your will discover your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. |
