Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
Our wants are simple, O God: to live life, to know love, to experience joy. You offer us all this, and more. Even in times of sorrow, your Grace radiates a light that gives us hope. We give thanks, we sing your praises, we need your presence, always. But our ways are crooked, and we are confused. We misunderstand and reinterpret your will. We ask your forgiveness for our pride, and pray that you will help us realize that your love is more than a need, it is something to want, and to desire. To praise you is our greatest meaning, and in Jesus' name we come to you to clear our hearts and minds so that we can experience your presence within us, and raise our song to you. Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Matt Lashey |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |
||
Passing of the Peace | Crown Him With Many Crowns | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Joanne Bourquin, flute |
Guide us, O God, by your Word and Spirit, that in your light we may see light, in your truth find freedom, and in your will discover your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. |
