Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
Holy One, we are witnesses to the glory of your love, and receive with joy your grace and assurance. Were it not for you, how could we appreciate the good we encounter, or endure the hardships that life can bring? Without you, life is without hope, dark as a starless sky. In our humanity we lose sight of our need for you, and forget your constant presence. O God, forgive our pride and restore our hearts. Let our inner selves reflect our future glory, when we sing at last in the glory of your light. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen. |
||
Life of the Church | Special Music | Elder Dick Schultz |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |
||
Passing of the Peace | Great Is Thy Faithfulness | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Guide us, O God, by your Word and Spirit, that in your light we may see light, in your truth find freedom, and in your will discover your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. |
