Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
Again we come, Lord, to praise and thank you. To receive your forgiveness, your grace and your mercy. We come as seekers, wanting to be better, to understand your desire for us. We come to learn how to give, to truly give, and to receive. When we have much we worry about tomorrow and hold on too tight even when others need. At times we are hungry but too proud to let others help us. Lead us to understand that we are a community of love and can trust that love. Forgive our egos that prevent us from the true experience of community. Make us generous of heart and deed, and give us the will to risk ourselves for the sake of others. Lead us into the humility that is faith, receiving without question the hand that reaches ever for our souls. We are thankful and we pray in the name of the Christ, Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Deacon Jackie Morgan |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |

Passing of the Peace | God of Our Fathers | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Guide us, O God, by your Word and Spirit, that in your light we may see light, in your truth find freedom, and in your will discover your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen |
