Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
God of glory and love, we come to praise you, pray to you, receive your Word. We are so thankful to be part of your family, and we receive your love and grace with great joy. Too often, when we think of being part of your family, we think of people just like us. We forget that we are part of a bigger whole. Forgive our narrow mindedness, our blindness. Remove the shadows from our eyes and hearts. Through your healing forgiveness, brings us into communion with all your beloved. We pray, we ask, in Jesus' name, Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Elder Jeff Morgan |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |
||
Passing of the Peace | O Day of Rest and Gladness | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Guide us, O God, by your Word and Spirit, that in your light we may see light, in your truth find freedom, and in your will discover your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen |
