Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
On this morning when we honor those who serve our country, recognize the many who care for others, and look into our hearts for ways to serve you, we give thanks for the bounty of blessings we receive by your love. Blessings meant for each of us regardless of circumstance. When we sing praises to you it comes from our hearts, and our joy and thankfulness is real. Still, we ask that you see beyond the part of our faith that is active on Sundays but often missing in our daily lives. We pray that we will recognize our blessings in the midst of daily work, during times of exhaustion and frustration, even in times of pain. Let your love overwhelm us, transform us, build in us a desire that must be expressed in how we live through every moment of our lives, for every moment is a gift, a blessing in Christ. In whose name we pray, Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Deacon Kay Chabot |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |
