Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
How can it be, Lord, that you choose us? Who are we that such love and grace is given to us, and forgiveness ours for the asking? Life is a treasure, yet the treasure you offer, in the face of your own Son, is beyond understanding. It is with faith that we give thanks and praise, and offer ourselves to you. Where are those words of faith when we fall short, or in deep need set aside your love out of self-judgment? Why do we ever look away from you when you are always near? Forgive us! Let us be like the Magi, offering our gifts to you: gifts of trust, service, and love. The gift of our very selves. As we stand in the light of the stable, open our hearts to your redeeming presence. We ask in Jesus’ name. Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Dirk Voerman |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |
||
Passing of the Peace | We Three Kings | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Teach us, O God, by your Word and Spirit, help us to hear, know and live the Gospel so that we might proclaim in work and deed, the Good News that you offer us this day. A message of peace to the whole community and love with faith through Christ our Lord. Amen |
