Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
God, you are our God, and we stand before you as your children, fully human yet created in your image. We are grateful to be yours, people of the Way. We sing praises for the many gifts we have received, and for the victory of the Cross; yet we struggle with our understanding of you. We try to define you by what we know and who we are, and at times feel alienated or afraid of labels and images. Forgive us our distrust, dear Lord, and let our hearts be filled with your steadfast presence and abiding love. Let this light that is you cast out the darkness of doubt and free us to live in the heart of your creation! We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Elder Pauline Gregg |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |

Passing of the Peace | God You Spin the Whirling Planets | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |

Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen |
