Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
We live in a world of such possibilities, a world made by you, Creator of all. We live in a world of beauty because of your attention, to love, grace, color and light. Through our faith in you our path becomes straight, for your hand prepares the way before us. You never fail and we praise you, O God, and give thanks! Sometimes, though, we fail. We think beauty is found in riches, in the glitter of gold, and we keep it for ourselves. We become afraid that others will steal it, and so we close others off. Their suffering or need is hidden from us by our own doing. Forgive us, please forgive us! Reveal to our hearts the true treasure revealed in Christ, a treasure to be shared as the love we have received, offering hope, care and dignity to every soul. We ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | David Smith |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |
||
Passing of the Peace | Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty! | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |

Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen |
