God, I pray for a clean heart. We are born a miracle of miracles, from a seed to a soul, born looking out on your world with hope and wonder. Every day is a day of learning and amazement, as we discover for the first time the possibilities of life. Life seems filled with so much, and we are grateful. When we are blessed, our days are filled with love and laughter, and we think this is the way of all life. But we sin in this, dear Lord, for so many suffer even as children, and so many cry out for help as grown men and women. Forgive us our blindness to the suffering around us. We pray for the sight that is love, and an intuition of the heart that will lead us in ways to right wrongs, heal suffering, and give of ourselves by sharing the blessings we have received. We ask in Jesus’ name that we be strengthened in our desire to give parts of our very faith and being, that others may prosper, grow, and understand your deep caring for all your lands and people, each and every one. In His name we pray, Amen.

Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us, Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all.

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen
