Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
We give thanks, God of Creation, for this world in which we live; for the forests, the deserts, the mountains, the rivers and seas. We give thanks for all that lives upon it; for the life that both sustains us and amazes us with grace and beauty. We are in awe at the patterns of birds’ flight against a blue sky, and the small imprints in the sand left by the smallest of your creatures. We are so grateful for such beauty in nature, yet too often do not see the same beauty in one another. Why do we fear those unlike us? How can we not see the beauty of a voice that sounds different, skin of another color, a life experience different than our own? Forgive us, our God, for you are the God of all, creator of all. Help us to see the truth in ourselves and surrender to your great love, one with the beauty of this, your world. In Christ we are healed and made whole, and in his name, we pray. Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Elder Morella Larsen |
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all. |

Passing of the Peace | Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |

Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen |
