Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
One: The heavens declare the glory of God; Many: The skies proclaim the work of his hands. One: Their voice goes out into all the earth; ALL: Their words to the ends of the world! |
||
Life of the Church | A Child Is Born | Elder Jim De Hart |
God our Creator, you are generous beyond understanding. You have given us the gift of your son, the Christ. You have provided a light to show us the way to his love, and a path to forgiveness. Your promise is one of hope and acceptance, and we give thanks to you, our Lord. Forgive us our many sins and failings! Take the darkness from our eyes, so we can see your truth! Make our hands the hands of healers, our hearts the hearts of giving, our words the words of kindness. As we are forgiven, let us forgive. We ask in Jesus |
||
Passing of the Peace | We Three Kings of Orient Are | Congregation |
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all. |
||
Prelude | What Star Is This, with Beams So Bright | Praise Band |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
