Prayer of Adoration & Confession (unison)
As we begin our Lenten walk, we give thanks and praise to you, our God, for the gift of your son, Jesus: for the waters of the Jordan where he was baptized, for the Living Water that finds us, always, even in a desert of our own making. His journey is the heart of our lives, and we are filled with joy and hope as we journey toward Jerusalem. Forgive us when we stumble along the way, our promises forgotten. Lift us when we reach for your hem, longing to be healed by your love. Redeem us, let us be washed clean, our sin destroyed by the victory of the Cross. We pray in Jesus' name, Amen. |

(A moment for silent reflection)
Assurance of Pardon | ||
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all. |

For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
