Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Bruce Myers |
ONE: Happy are those who trust in God. ALL: Proclaim God |
Life of the Church | There's Something About That Name | Elder Pauline Gregg |
ONE: We come before God not as despised sinners, but as beloved children. With the confidence of children of God let us confess our sin. ALL: God of gentleness and power, we ask your forgiveness for the times we have turned away from you. Forgive us the times we have not used the spiritual gifts you have give us, the times when we have neglected those who need us, the oppressed, the poor the imprisoned. You have called us to be your servants, yet we are so wrapped up in our own lives that we fail others. You have called us to be light to the nations, yet we can barely take care of our own family and friends. Strengthen us once again with your power. Guide us and give us courage to serve you with all that we say and all that we do. Through Jesus Christ we pray. Amen. |
Passing of the Peace | Come! Live in the Light! | Congregation |
ONE: Do not fear, says the Lord, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. God is doing a new thing, now it springs forth! By the grace of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! ALL: By the grace of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God. |
Prelude | Fairest Lord Jesus | Praise Band |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
