Pre-worship Music | Palm Sunday Medley | Alex Danson |
Good Morning Palm Springs Presbyterian Church! And, welcome to our Palm Sunday Worship service. It is officially Spring now, so we hope everyone is enjoying our beautiful weather. We also hope everyone has received or will be receiving soon their COVID vaccines and enjoying a bit of relief and freedom. It has been a very long challenging year! We are pleased to announce our Annual Congregational Meeting was held last Sunday, with great attendance by our members. Thank you to those that attended and participated in our importance topics for our church. As promised, the voting ballot has been sent to all members to cast their votes on our Pastor Nominating Committee nominees, 2021 Budget and a few topics on the re-opening of our church. The possibility of re-opening our church for small gatherings is being researched by a small task team that has been organized. We will be reporting to you their progress each week and your input will be valuable along the way, as we address this very important topic. If you have not donated your Easter lily yet, please do so as soon as possible. The lilies will be purchased this week for display on our altar next Sunday, Easter Sunday. Your lilies will be available the following Friday for you to pick up from the church, and for the lilies not taken, will be donated to various homes in the area. Special birthday wishes are extended to a very special lady to us all, Caryl Williamson, and a very special gentleman, Matt Lashey. May God watch over you both on your birthday this week and bless you with great health and happiness all year long. |

Welcoming | My Peace | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
God, our source of all hope, we are as small children when we remember your son coming through the gates of Jerusalem. We wave our palms and sing for joy, and we reach out to touch the hem of his robe: Your son, your gift, your great love. We give thanks for his light and willingness to surrender himself for us. We want to follow him, but it is hard. We wait by the gate, afraid to enter, afraid to lose ourselves, afraid to be vulnerable, afraid to die. Help us, O Lord, to understand the freedom and life of the Cross, and be willing to surrender ourselves to a life in Christ. We ask in his name, Amen. |

Life of the Church | Hosanna, Loud Hosanna | Kay Chabot |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Passing of the Peace | The King Is Coming | Congregarion |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |
