|Opening Hymn||This Is a Day of New Beginnings||Hymn #355|
|Prayer of Confession (Unison)||Elder Peggy Kueffer|
Loving God, we have not loved you or each other with our whole hearts. You sent your own Son to die for us, but we have put other allegiances above your commands. Forgive us, we pray, and lead us toward wholeness, that our lives may know true joy, to the glory of your name.
|(A moment for silent reflection)|
|Assurance of Forgiveness||Elder Peggy Kueffer|
Christ loved us so much that he lived for us, he died for us, and he will come again for us. He loved us enough to call us friends. If we can forgive our friends, how much more does Christ forgive us? Friends, believe the Good News of the gospel: in Jesus Christ we are forgiven.
|Gloria Patri||Hymn #581|
|Praise Hymn||What a Friend We Have in Jesus||Hymn #465|
|Prayers of the People & Lord's Prayer||Rev. Sally Willis-Watkins|
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
|Anthem||We Thank You For Your Presence|
|Prayer for Illumination (Unison)||Elder Peggy Kueffer|
Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen
