Pre-worship Music I Saw The Light  Praise Band
Good morning Palm Springs Presbyterian Church Members and Friends!
For our Life of the Church today we would like to extend to all members and friends an invitation to serve on one of our church committees. It would only take a couple hours a month, at the most, and provide you the opportunity to meet your fellow congregants, learn more about our church, and contribute to our very important work. Our committees are:
- Building and Grounds
- Congregational Life
- Finance
- Membership
- Mission
- Nominating
- Outreach
- Stewardship
- Worship and Music
A little of your time, and a lot of your talents and creativity are all that is needed. There is a document in the Fellowship Hall today that describes the work of each committee for you to take. If you have interest in any of these areas, you may fill out the last page of the document with your name, contact information and the committee or committees you have interest in and drop it in the attendance box. Also, the chairperson of each committee is identified in this document along with their email address. Please feel free to contact the chair of the committee if you are interested or if you have questions. And, as always you may call Peggy, our Clerk of Session and Office Manager, and she will be happy to address any questions you may have about our committees.
BIRTHDAYS!!
We have three very special folks having birthdays this week! Happy Birthdays go to:

Gathering Song God Welcomes All  Hymn #399
ONE: May the peace of Christ be with you.
ALL: And also with you.

Welcoming My Peace  Rev. Thelma King
ONE: With what shall we come before the Holy One, and bow ourselves before God on high?
ALL: God has shown us what is good.
ONE: What does the Holy One require of us ,
ALL: But to do justice, and love kindness, and to walk humbly with our God?

(Micha 6:6, 8)

Life of the Church Cleanse Me  Elder David Smith
ONE: If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
But let him ask in faith with no doubting for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

Passing of the Peace This Is My Father's World  Congregarion
ALL: Eternal God, to whom we live and move and have our being, whose face is hidden from us by our sins, and whose mercy we forget in the blindness of our hearts:
Cleanse us from all our offenses, and deliver us from proud thoughts and vain desires, that with reverent and humble hearts we may draw near to you, confessing our faults, confiding in your grace, and finding in you our refuge and strength; through Jesus Christ your Son.

Prelude Gloria Patri  Praise Band
I declare to you, by the mercy of God and the work of Jesus on the cross you have been forgiven.
Go in peace and know that God forgives without reminding us of our unworthiness.
Amen

Call to Worship (Responsive) O God, Our Help In Ages Past  Elder David Smith
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Opening Hymn Great Is Thy Faithfulness  Hymn #370
God our helper, by your Holy Spirit, open our minds, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may be led into your truth and taught your will, for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN
