Jesus Christ, Light of the World, help us to see the people in our midst as reflections of your light. Help us to fan flames of rejoicing in the hearts of all we meet. Show us the way to love all others, not just like those who reflect us. We give you thanks for the lives of all who live faithfully in your name. Forgive us when we forget or neglect those who also love you. Thank you for your forgiveness as you hear and answer our prayers by the power of your Holy Spirit, and in the name of Jesus Christ, our risen and living Lord and Savior. Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

We trust in God the Holy Spirit, everywhere the giver and renewer of life. The Spirit justifies us by grace through faith, sets us free to accept ourselves and to love God and neighbor, and binds us together with all believers in the one body of Christ, the Church. In a broken and fearful world the Spirit gives us courage to pray without ceasing, to witness among all peoples to Christ as Lord and Savior, and to work with others for justice, freedom and peace.
