Prayer of Adoration & Confession (unison)		.
God, our source of all hope, we are as small children when we remember your son coming through the gates of Jerusalem. We wave our palms and sing for joy, and we reach out to touch the hem of his robe: Your son, your gift, your great love. We give thanks for his light and willingness to surrender himself for us. We want to follow him, but it is hard. We wait by the gate, afraid to enter, afraid to lose ourselves, afraid to be vulnerable, afraid to die. Help us, O Lord, to understand the freedom and life of the Cross, and be willing to surrender ourselves to a life in Christ. We ask in his name, Amen. (a moment for silent reflection)
Assurance of Pardon		.
Hear the good news! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know that you are forgiven, and be at peace. Amen.
