Prelude Special Music  Praise Band

* Call to Worship People: We praise your awesome name. Leader: Holy God, you spoke to your people in the pillar of cloud. People: Speak to us now; shape our lives by your Spirit. Leader: You alone are holy. All: You alone are God.

* Opening Hymn Will You Come and Follow Me  Hymn #726

Prayer of Adoration & Confession (unison)
God, almost every day we wrestle with overwhelming choices – Caesar or God, life or death, love or hate, possessions or freedom. Often we choose wisely, but then there are those other times. Our wants get confused with our needs. Our “must haves” overshadow our satisfaction with ourselves, our loved ones, and even life itself. Give to us the vision and wisdom to see your way clearly. Then empower us with your grace and courage, that we might take the higher path. In all things keep us faithful to your gift of love – for you, for our neighbors, and for ourselves. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.

(A moment for silent reflection)

Assurance of Pardon
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all.

* Singing Gloria Patri  Hymn #623

Prayers of the People & Lord's Prayer
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
