Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
God of heaven and earth, we are humbled by your love for us! As our lives unfold, you are always near; when we are sad, you comfort us and when our way is easy, you share in our delight. Nothing is hidden from you, yet you love us fully. So often we take your presence for granted, and we do not listen for you. Then, we feel empty and alone, or are proud, and cruel. Forgive us when we fail to care for ourselves and others. Help us to understand the peace of the soul, our soul, that will release a new vision in our lives, and lead us into a deeper trust of your love. Free our hearts to be your light in creation, sharing the strength and hope you offer, and lead us to give of ourselves so that others may no longer fear need or violence, but but only receive respite and love. Through you, we can be made new; in you, we will find our peace. Please, dear God; in Jesus’ name. Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Elder John Evans |
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all. |

Passing of the Peace | Morning Has Broken | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |

Prelude | Assurance of Padron | Praise Band |
Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen |
