Good morning Palm Springs Presbyterian Church Members and Friends! Life of Our Church Congratulations to Carl and Peggy The Nominating Committee is pleased to announce that Carl Currin and Peggy Kueffer have been approved by a quorum (over 60%) of you, our church members, receiving 46 votes each, all ayes, no nayes. While votes may continue to come in, our candidates have been duly approved. The congregation has joined us in showing confidence that Carl and Peggy will represent our church well in calling our new pastor, and we would like to express our gratitude for your participation in this process so we can move this important effort for our church forward. We are in the process now of developing our Summer Sonshine Newsletter. If you have something to contribute, an article, picture or news, you would like to contribute to our newsletter, please contact Peggy at our church office. We do not have birthday wishes to extend this week, but we will have several next week for several very special people. |

Life of the Church | Precious Lord, Take My Hand | Elder Pauline Gregg |
ONE: The proof of God's amazing love is this: While we were sinners Christ died for us. Because we have faith in him, we dare to approach God with confidence. In faith and penitence, let us confess our sins before God and one another. ALL: Holy and merciful God, in your presence we confess our sinfulness, our shortcomings, and our offenses against you. You alone know how often we have sinned in wandering from your ways, in wasting your gifts, in forgetting your love. Have mercy on us, O Lord, for we are ashamed and sorry for all we have done to displease you. Forgive our sins, and help us to live in your light, and walk in your ways. for the sake of Jesus Christ our Savior. Holy God, holy and mighty, holy immortal One, have mercy upon us. |
||
Passing of the Peace | Blessed Assurance, Jesus Is Mine | Congregarion |
The mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting. I declare to you, in the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven. May the God of mercy, who forgives you all your sins, strengthen you in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep you in eternal life. AMEN |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
