Gathering | Carol Medley | Praise Band |
God calls us now in this Christmas season to become new; to make room for our own nativity, even when there is no room at the inn. Where we are busy- peace. Where we are lost- salvation. Where we are sad- joy. Where we are bitter- love. May this hour be a time to hope for all these gifts of God. |

Welcome | Little Drummer Boy | Rev. Sally Willis-Watkins |
ALL: Love comes to us at Christmas; love comes to heal our souls. Love brings an invitation that our hearts may be made whole. As we gather at the stable in the darkness, glad and grateful for the scattered in our midst, for wonder and delight. Christ is born in us this night. |

Prelude | O Come, All Ye Faithful | Bing Crosby/David Bowie |
ONE: Tonight we offer the lights of hope, peace, joy and love to illumine the door of welcome. (Light Advent candles). And we add the brightest light of all: the light of the newborn Jesus. It shines bright like the star that rose over Bethlehem. May this light shine in our hearts, in our lives, and in our church. May this light awaken us to possibilities and lead us to greater hospitality. There is room in this inn, a house for the holy. ALL: Love comes to us at Christmas; love comes to heal our souls. Love brings an invitation that our hearts may be made whole. As we gather at the stable in the darkness, glad and grateful for the scattered in our midst, for wonder and delight. Christ is born in us this night. ONE: the light of Christ be with you! All: And also with you! |
