ONE: May the peace of Christ be with you.
ALL: And also with you.

Leader: Lord, we come to you seeking life.
People: You teach us the steps to take.
Leader: Lord, you know our hearts.
People: Reshape our hearts into your image.
Leader: May our very desires seek your will at every moment.
ALL: May we walk in paths of life, for us and for all your creation.

ONE: All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God; yet God is merciful as well as just, quick to hear and to forgive. Let us then boldly confess our sins before God:
ALL: O God, you have given us so many choices, but we have failed to use our free will as wisely as we should. We have sought too much for ourselves, instead of working for a world where all may freely live. We have cared more about those who are near us than for those who seem far away. Even then, we have too often missed those who are hurting right next to us. For these and every way we sin against you, we ask your forgiveness.

ONE: Christ lived for us. Christ died for us. Christ rose for us. Friends, hear and believe the good news of the gospel: in Jesus Christ we are forgiven.
ALL: Hallellujah! Amen!

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

ALL: O God, open our ears to your teaching, so that our mouths can learn to sing your praise, our feet can learn to follow your steps, and our hands can do your work in this world.
