ONE: May the peace of Christ be with you.
ALL: And also with you.

Leader: I will sing of your steadfast love, O Lord, forever.
Congregation: With my mouth I will proclaim your faithfulness to all generations.
Leader: I declare that your steadfast love is established forever.
Congregation:  You faithfulness is as firm as the heavens.
Leader:  Let us worship God.

Leader:  Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
Congregation:  Forgive, O God, our unwillingness to accept your truth.
Leader:  As Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of God, we too might walk in newness of life.
Congregation:  Forgive, O God, our stubbornness to follow.
Leader:  We know that our old self was crucified so that we might no longer be enslaved to sin.
Congregation:  Forgive us, O God, when we yield to temptation
Leader:  If we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him.
Congregation: Forgive us, O God, when we lack courage and conviction.
Leader:  So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus
Congregation:  Have mercy upon us, O God, and help us to come alive in Christ.

The mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting.  In the name of Jesus Christ all of our sins are forgiven.

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

O God, tell us what we need to hear, and show us what we ought to do to obey Jesus Christ.  AMEN
