The first Advent Candle is HOPE
The second Advent Candle is PEACE
The third Advent Candle is JOY
The fourth Advent Candle is LOVE.
The time of waiting has been fulfilled.  All is in readiness to welcome the Christ Child. Let us pray:
ALL: God of hope and joy, the day draws near when the glory of your Son will brighten the night of the waiting world.  May your love sustain us as we eagerly watch for His coming.  Grant us your peace and keep us ever faithful as we seek to follow you and serve you all of our days.  AMEN.

On this most special night, we light the Christ Candle to remind us that the promised Savior has come. The promise of Emmanuel, God dwelling among us, has been fulfilled. Glory to you, Great God, for the gift of your Son, light in our darkness and the hope of the world.

Give us, O God, such wonder and love, that with shepherds, and wise men, and pilgrims unknown, we may come to adore the holy child, our Promised King. As you came in the stillness of night, great God, enter our lives this night. Overcome darkness with the light of Christ

And now, O Lord, let your servants depart in peace - your promise has been fulfilled. Our eyes have seen the salvation you have prepared, a light to reveal you to the nations, and glory for your people Israel.

May the Love, Joy, and Peace that is Christmas, dwell in your hearts, this day and always.
