Welcoming | My Peace | Rev. Patricia Stout |
God of the future: you are coming in power to bring nations under your rule. We confess that we have not expected your kingdom. We have lived casual lives, and ignored your promised judgment. Judge us, o God, for we have been slow to serve you. Forgive us, for the sake of your faithful servant Jesus, our Savior, whose triumph we want and eagerly await. Amen. |
||
Life of the Church | Bring a Torch, Janette, Isabella | Elder Carole Rogers |
If we confess our sins God is faithful and just. God will forgive our sin and cleanse us from every unrighteousness. |
||
Passing of the Peace | Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | O Lord, How Shall I Meet You | Praise Band |
Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen |
